Lavender Scrubbing Mask
In a food processor, grind up the oats and add the wheat germ. Then add the sesame seeds and roses. Grind again until the petals or flowers are finely chopped. Once the mixture is well ground, remove and spread over a cookie sheet. Heat the oven at a low temperature. Make sure it is as low as possible as you don't want to burn the mixture. Place the cookie sheet in the oven and let the mixture dry for a few moments. Remove and add to a jar with a lid. To use pour some out on your palm and moisten with warm water. Apply and gently scrub your face with a circular motion. Let sit for a few moments and rinse off. Lovely Lavender Oat Mask
Mix all well. I recommend that you add the essential oil before you grind the oats in a blender or food processor. You can add up to 12 drops per mix if you like a stronger fragrance mask. Lavender is great for the skin and one of the most 'safe' of the essential oils to use directly on the skin. Smooth mask over the whole face avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 20 minutes then rinse. Rinsing is easiest when you use a warm cloth to soak and soften the mask before gently removing the mask. Oatmeal Facial Exfoliant
Mix dry ingredients thoroughly. Combine 1 tablespoon of scrub mixture with enough water to form a spreadable paste. Allow to thicken for 1 minute. Massage onto face and throat. Rinse. Use daily or as needed and follow with moisturizer. |
