Fizzing Bath Salts Recipe

4 oz baking soda
2 oz corn starch
2 tsp essential oil

Blend together and press through sieve or strainer. Use only 1/8 cup in each bath. These can be pressed into cakes if you wish, by adding a touch more moisture and pressing into shape, but keep from all humidity if you do, or they will crumble.

Foaming Chocolate Milk Bath Sachets

1 cup baking soda
1 cup instant nonfat dry milk
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
Vintage handkerchiefs or 10-inch square scraps of fabric
Ribbon

Mix all of the ingredients together. Place about 3 tablespoons on the center of a pretty cloth handkerchief. Tie the bundle with a piece of ribbon. Hang the sachet over the bathtub faucet and let warm water run through it. Store the extra milk bath in an attractive airtight jar. It will keep up to 6 months.

Fragrant Bath Salts Recipe

2 lb Epsom salts
3-4 drops of essential oil
3- 4 drops of food coloring

Pour Epsom salts into a big bowl. In a smaller plastic container, put in 3 tbsp of Epsom salts. Add the food coloring desired, and the scent desired. Mix thoroughly. Add a bit more Epsom salts and continue stirring to coat all crystals with color and scent. Continue adding the uncolored salts to the colored ones until you have about two cups worth. Then you can add it to the big bowl and mix thoroughly until all is colored and scented. Arrange in pretty jars.
